Introduction
I chose my topic because I really like fire. Have fascinated about children getting burned in there clothes or in there pajamas.

Aim.
What materiel is the safest near fire?

Hypothesis
I think that cotton will be the safest. Because when i have seen wool burn before it doesn't catch alight it just as embers and burns. I think nylon will have the worst effect because it melts really easily

Nico - you need to re-word your hypothesis so that it matches your aim.

Equipment
2X People.
1X 20/10cm cotton fabric.
1X 20/10cm Wool Fabric.
1X 20/10cmNylon.
1X stop Watch.
1X camera.
1X 20cm stand to hold the fabric off the ground.
1X 4cm high Candle
1X Matches
1X 6/6cm diamond o use as a stencil

Methodology

  1. cut three different fabrics Nylon, Cotton and Wool fabric into 20/10cm pieces and use the stencil to draw a diamond
  2. Place candle on ground.
  3. Place a 20cm high stand to hold fabric on top of the candle.
  4. Light the candle.
  5. Put the fabric on top of 20cm high stand.
  6. Take pictures every 20 secs for how long it takes to burn through past the diamond.
  7. repeat this 3 times every time with a different fabric.
  8. repeat this 3 times more to make it a fair test.
Don't forget to add observations - what is happening as the time elapses. How many times are you going to repeat these experiments?
